I guess it all started at a young age for me. Being the youngest of 5, from a sports obsessed family, I have always been active & competitive. Growing up in CT, my siblings & I were all big ice hockey players, playing on multiple teams at a time, traveling all over the country & Canada, for tournaments & competing at nationals. Very early on I had learned about working towards hard to reach goals in sports. Having to commit a ton of time to accomplish all we wanted to, through practices & training. Ice hockey was our main sport for much of my childhood, as well as figure skating, but we also were dedicated soccer & lacrosse players. Working hard to make travel, premiere teams & eventually high school varsity & College teams.

I have always enjoyed “putting in the work” to try & reach these goals.  I have also always been a big runner.  In college, playing lacrosse & then eventually soccer as well, I spent my summers with my now husband Mark (boyfriend then), training alongside me & cheering me on during the training & lifting programs. This is where my excitement for the WLG program came from. I really have missed this aspect of my life, since it was all I knew for so long. Playing multiple sports, going to school for sports, college for sports & always training & practicing. Being able to feel like I was back in the “old days” was fun for me, even this time I have three kids in tow & many more responsibilities!

Since becoming a mom though, starting 6 years ago, my fitness & training naturally took a back seat. After my daughter was born in 2013, 20 months after my son, I got back into great shape, staying committed & dedicated to a training & eating program & becoming really strong. I had suffered from severe sciatica & lower back pain during both of their baby years, but I finally got to a place where I was pain free through physical therapy & working out. I knew I could get back again after my third, but I also knew it was going to take a lot of work & dedication as it did the last time.

I had my third baby in April, my second C-section, which does a number on your mid-section, & my recovery was definitely longer this time around. I started the summer home with my newborn, my 3 & 5 yr. old (off from school), so I was busy to say the least, oh & sleep deprived! Then a big curve ball hit us, when we were displaced for over 5 weeks from our home due to the tornado. Feeling blessed we were safe, the kids were safe & our house was going to be fine, I put all my energy into just trying to stay positive & strong for my kids. It was still hard though, staying with family members, friends, & hotels. Moving a total of 11 times through it all. It personally was a major test for us as parents & a family, but especially as a mother. All my energy went towards taking care of my kids during a confusing time for them & tending to my newborn, which is hard enough regardless. But with amazing family & extremely supportive friends, we got through it.

This is where WLG came into play & changed everything for me during a tough time.

I was running on empty & feeling beyond overwhelmed & exhausted. I was not taking care of myself at all. I gained back all the weight I lost while nursing & having to eat out for every meal & snacks, took me way off track. I was ready to get back into killer shape, if not for myself but for my kids, especially so that I had the strength & energy to keep up with them day in & day out. My good friend Kelly convinced me to do the WLG challenge & the rest is history. I decided this post pregnancy journey, regardless of the fact my baby was only 4 months old, I would give it everything I had starting right away. I was going in 100% & the day I signed up for the WLG Challenge, I told my husband I wanted to win & he was behind me 100%. He said he would do whatever he had to for the next 12 weeks to support me through it all & make work. I also figured I would set my goal as high as possible. He knows me all too well. He knew I wasn’t messing around. He is such an amazing person & extremely supportive.

The running part was not hard for me. I have been running since I was really young. I still love running so much, maybe more. I use races as a way to train towards a goal & fulfill my competitive side. It’s also my stress relief & therapy. The lifting & interval training took a little more planning. I got to WLG once a week with the help of my MIL, since my husband leaves for work before 5 AM. The class times are great & work for so many schedules. I also had a training program that I followed at home for interval strength training when I couldn’t make class. I also hit the gym & utilized their daycare. I stayed dedicated the entire time to my WLG schedule, at home training & running. Sometimes doing jump ups on my coffee table @ 10 PM while my family slept, or making myself get to class regardless of the fact I was sick or had less than 4 hours of sleep the night before. No excuses, right?! When I had to get it done, I just figured it out around the chaos of our crazy life.

Deciding to have my before and afters posted was hard for me, because who would be super excited about themselves in a bikini for everyone to see. But my girlfriends urged me that I needed to do it for others, if not for myself, to show others it is possible & what hard work can accomplish, especially other super busy (exhausted) mothers. I need to be proud of my after & not embarrassed of my before.  I would love to inspire others if it came to that, that they can set a goal no matter how high & reach it no matter their circumstances. I worked hard for this, I didn’t try a fab diet, I didn’t look for a quick fix and I didn’t “bounce” back naturally, oh & I sure didn’t starve myself. I put in the hard work, the discipline, focus & stayed dedicated. It’s about the journey, the future & staying healthy & strong forever, not a quick solution of losing a bunch of weight in a little amount of time. So Here I am, 12 weeks later, back in my pre-pregnancy pants, feeling so strong, so athletic & better yet, energetic. The coaching I received from WLG was awesome and I listened to all the advice and educational information they had to offer. They know what they are doing! I followed the incredible meal prepping and planning, and of course the motivation they provided through the entire 12 weeks. It is such a great program, such great classes and I cannot wait to continue my journey with WLG!

I started WLG classes two summers ago and fell in love with the atmosphere, energy and support evident in everyone! The classes are always different and the instructors meet any and all needs you might have. There has never been a class where I didn’t feel I was getting a full body workout, and it’s a great feeling of accomplishment walking out the door knowing I pushed myself to the max.

This fall I decided to try the 2017 12 Week Fall Challenge with a small group of very supportive friends. We all had our own goals in mind but were also always there to comment on and bring each other up. We shared ingredients for recipes, workout ideas, and plans to meet for different classes based on our schedules.  For the first time, I tried and now absolutely love the Boxing class! As for the challenge as a whole, the recipes were delicious, the motivation in the Facebook group was incredible, and the results were amazing!

The WLG 12 Week Challenge program really does work, you just have to trust it, yourself, and put in the effort to see the change. The hardest part for me at the beginning was drinking the required amount of water, saying “no” to some of my favorite foods, and getting into the routine of working out every morning before work. By the time I was four weeks in with the first prize weigh-in, I was in a good routine and I was astonished by my results just after those four short weeks- just enough time to break old habits and create new ones! I have definitely changed some habits for the better, I met my goals for the challenge, and I feel great, all thanks to the WLG team and the fall challenge! I plan to stay on this healthy track and continue to push myself as I make more progress and create new goals as we ring in the New Year!

In 2016 I decided to make a change.  Every year after my birthday in January I would say “this was going to be the year of Heather!”  Something always came up with my business or life that always seemed to get in the way of that.  After reading that a sedentary lifestyle, where you sit at a desk all day, was the equivalent to smoking I knew I needed to make a change.  I had owned an accounting firm and sat all day into the evening usually eating all three meals at my desk.  I sold my business in October 2016 signed up with a personal trainer and decided I was going to focus on getting healthy.

From October 2016 to January 2017, I was able to lose 30lbs and I felt great.  We went on a cruise that January for my 45th birthday and I was able to buy new smaller clothes and had a lot more confidence.  Over the remainder of the year I continued to train on a regular basis and started to run again.  I was getting strong and could see a change in my clothes but pretty much stayed at the same weight and size throughout most of the year- I was stuck!

I had the working out part down, but realized I was missing the main component of weight loss and that was the FOOD!!! My cousin, Dina Clark had done amazing with the Workout Like a Girl Challenge so I decided to sign up for the September 2017 Challenge.  There were many things that I needed in order to make a change that the challenge provided.  The structured healthy meal plans that gave me recipes, a variety of options and plenty to eat was a key component in my success.  The other part of the challenge that helped me the most was the accountability as you had to record everything:  what you eat, how much water you drank, what kind of exercise you did and we had weekly weigh-ins.  These two aspects of the program made a world of difference when combined with daily physical activity.

I followed the program religiously and did every bonus workout during the 12 weeks.  I worked my butt off literally and figuratively and loved it.  Overall, I lost a lot of pounds and inches and from the beginning of my journey, starting in October 2016 I have now lost over 60lbs.  I have 20 more to go to reach my goal and plan to sign up for the next challenge.

I went into this challenge with the goal to lose 20 pounds but told myself it probably wasn’t the most realistic goal for myself. I decided to really commit this time to the entire process (I had done 2 challenges prior to this one) – cutting down on alcohol, working out, sticking to approved meals and logging all my activity in the book. As I did this, each week got easier and the pounds were coming off. By week 4, I couldn’t believe the weight and inches I had lost and ended up winning the week 4 prize. But what happens after you have great success and 4 more weeks in between the next weigh in? I slacked off a little, enjoyed my birthday dinner & drinks, wedding anniversary, and other social events. I got myself back on track and was still so pleased with my week 8 weigh in. Everything was fitting better, I was feeling better and wanted to push to get the best results I could – because by week 8, I was only 2 pounds away from 20 pounds lost! I ended the challenge hitting a weight I haven’t been in close to 10 years. I did not expect myself to lose 24 pounds and 21.5 inches – but I did!

What worked for me? First, support, support, support!! The coaches at WLG were amazing motivators and inspiration. I also had a group of friends that kept me going (and accountable) throughout the challenge (you ladies know who you are, thank you). Whether we would go to class together (mostly 5am, so you knew you better not no-show someone at 5am haha) or text about the meals and send recipes we liked to each other. Having a great support system is so vital for doing something like this. It really was a big change in my life style, which meant support from my husband was so important too. Luckily he jumped on board and ate whatever I made without complaints. Second, my BOOK … a great tool throughout the challenge. I literally carried that thing around with me and wrote everything down. It always made me think twice before I ate something because I knew I would have to write it down. The past challenges I usually gave up about midway through writing in my book, so this time I stuck with it 100%.  Lastly, buying an instant pot. Seriously. Being a full time working mom with 2 little ones, trying to work out, and meal prep is hard work! Having something that I could find a healthy recipe and throw into the pot when I got home was such a help. I am going to get a binder going with all the recipes I enjoyed throughout the challenge.

What is next? I am addicted to the workouts at WLG. I love the energy and support from the coaches to the athletes working out alongside me. Definitely continue to work on my nutrition and making healthier decisions. My next goal is to start toning. Work on becoming stronger. Do a pull up without the green band, haha! In all seriousness, this challenge has helped change how I feel about myself. I couldn’t be any prouder of what I accomplished!

I broke my foot over the summer and it affected me physically and mentally. I couldn't workout or drive anywhere and I really lost my way. I needed this challenge to get me back on my feet (haha!). I told myself that at the end I wanted to look back and be able to say I tried my hardest, that was my number one goal.  I figured if I made that my goal and stuck to it then everything else would fall into place. I'm happy to say it worked.

Not only did I lose weight but I have more muscle than I've ever had.  This time around I did C3 workouts in addition to WLG and I think that made a big difference. I will admit working out as much as I did, doing doubles a couple days a week, was intense, but after a while it became habit. When it becomes habit you don't think about it, you just do it

I also ate very low carb, which worked for me. I'm the type of person that looks at a cookie and gets fat so it's hard to find something that works. I tend to eat clean in general but I was way more serious about it on the challenge due to the points system. It was key to my success because it became a game of how many points could I have. With that in mind, every time I wanted to eat or drink something bad, I asked myself if it was worth it, and usually the answer was no. I also filled out weekly point totals ahead of time because I knew I would feel bad if I had to erase it.

Being dedicated to a mission is not easy, and it never will be, but it was worth it in the end. The support system at WLG is awesome, as are apps for tracking food and water intake (so much water!). 12 weeks is a really long time but when you see the changes at the end it's pretty amazing.  Even harder than being on the challenge, is at the end when you are left up to your own will power with no points!  I'm still a work in progress, but I'm proud of my work, and inspired by my progress.

WLG has been so good to me this challenge! Coming in third place in my age group is a huge accomplishment for me and I am so proud of myself. WLG got me out of my slump and transformed me (in just 12 weeks) to the best shape I have ever been in.

I was nervous to sign up for my third challenge. The first two I never fully completed, so I was a little intimidated to try again. This time I did the challenge with a friend, which made getting up at 4:30AM for class a whole lot easier. I knew if I didn’t show up, she’d never let me hear the end of it. Each WLG class is fun and exciting and different every time. You never know what the coaches have up their sleeve for a workout. You show up, sweat, and leave knowing you just had the best workout possible in just 60 minutes. You meet a ton of people who share an interest in working out and everyone motivates each other.

In just 12 weeks I lost 12.5 pounds, 12.5 inches, 7.5% body fat, and 9.3% weight loss. That’s over a foot of fat I lost in just 12 weeks!! I never could have done this by myself and I am so thankful for WLG and the amazing coaches.

I started back with WLG in September for the challenge, and I will continue to show up and work hard. I got amazing results in just a short amount of time, and I don’t plan on letting them disappear. WLG is now my gym, and I plan on sticking with it so I can continue to get strong and fit!

I was so frustrated with myself because, once again, I had gained the weight back. Eating more and moving less over the summer resulted in packing on the pounds. I no longer fit in my clothes and had to borrow my mom's old "fat" clothes for business trips. Finding outfits that fit was so painful that it was easier to avoid social events. I hated the way I looked and felt. When it came time for the Fall challenge I knew I HAD to do it because the challenges helped me lose weight/fat in the past. One of the things I love about the WLG coaches and family is that they don't judge on where you are or where you have been in your fitness journey. They help you focus on goals and what you can accomplish. I was determined to get healthier and feel a hell of a lot better so I decided to go “all in” and sign up for the premium package. It included unlimited WLG/ C3 classes, vblogs, running program, meals, weigh ins, measurements and Inbody.

The unlimited classes worked really well for me because I knew the more I went, the more value I was getting. I work full-time and have two boys (8 & 5) so I worked with my husband to find a schedule that worked for our family. Mon & Wed evenings were WLG, Tue & Thur mornings were C3 and Saturday mornings were Eastern Shore Outdoors. At the beginning, workouts were very challenging because I was out of shape. If I needed to modify an exercise or take a break I knew it was OK. Tracey, Evan and Kendra motivated me to keep coming back and plugging away. They truly cared. The more I went, the better I got. I won't say it got easier because the coaches continue to push you so that you change. Every class was unique and fun. I became addicted to attending the classes as I started to feel better and see my body change. If I had a business trip I would base my travel times around my WLG/C3 schedule. If I was on a trip and wasn’t able to make it to class I would make sure to go to the hotel gym and run. The thing I loved the most was that I was getting stronger. I went from not being able to do a pullup with a band to doing 5…7….10..15 banded pull-ups. Push-ups on my knees became full blown push-ups. I kept making progress. Three quarters through the challenge I was helping my husband carry a couch we purchased into the house. Once we finished he smiled and said, "well, those gym classes are really paying off…you didn’t struggle and you weren’t out of breath.” By week 11 I had cut my running time by 2:16. The more my strength and body changed, the less I focused on my weight. Oh, and I was no longer borrowing my mom's old “fat” clothes.

As far as diet, there wasn't one as far as I was concerned. The meal in the weekly plans were so good and they tasted way better than the crap I had been eating prior. I despise cooking and the challenge recipes were easy to make. In the morning I typically had an egg & avocado on ezekial bread or a chocolate peanut butter protein shake. My snacks were typically chocolate chip pumpkin muffins, hummus/veggies, Greek yogurt with granola, or fruit with almond butter. On Sundays I would cook my lunch and dinners for the week so that I had to do was reheat them. Instant pot spaghetti, coconut shrimp, kung po chicken were just a few. I learned what to order at restaurants so that business trip dinners would sabotage my progress and use up deduction points. My weakness...wine. I chose not to deprive myself and used my deductions for wine. Being able to stick with this change and make it part of my life was more important than the deductions. To compensate I did the bonus every week except for 1. You can see the progress I made in the 12 weeks by looking at my before and after pictures. I am really embarrassed about my “pre” pics and was hesitant to share them. I did because I hope it will inspire someone else that may be in the same place I was back on September 23rd. Even though the challenge is over, my story isn’t. I don’t want to gain the weight back. The inbody gave my insights into my body composition and I want to continue to increase muscle and reduce fat. In order to make this happen I am going to become a monthly member and sign up for the Spring challenge.

This was my 3rd WLG 12 week challenge, however, the first one where I made it all the way to the final weigh-in. For a variety of reasons in the last two challenges I just didn’t quite make it, but this time I was all in!! I have to start by thanking these amazing WLG coaches as well as a close network of SUPER supportive friends that I never could have made it all the way through without. I love everything about these challenges not only for the physical benefits but the emotional ones as well.

Before beginning the fall 12 week challenge I had gotten to a place where I was truly unhappy with my body…like not just a little annoyed…really, really upset about it and I was ready to make a change. My story is very similar to many moms out there; I basically let everyone else’s needs become a priority and put myself on the back burner, eventually getting myself to a point where I finally had to say enough is enough. I’ve always been an active person I’ve run half marathons (even a marathon once), and worked out to try and stay in shape. I would try various diets and lifestyle changes and would occasionally see results, but then I would lose motivation for one reason or another and gain the weight back…quickly. And sure I could blame it on kids, a busy life, my thyroid, etc…but I keep hearing the words of another trainer and friend “you can’t out run a bad diet”…and unfortunately this is very true especially for me. So here I am being accountable and taking responsibility for my LOVE of food and lack of will power.

During this 12 week challenge I learned what works for me and how to make sure I am going to be successful at reaching my goals. I learned that in order to get in a successful workout I have to be up at 4:45am. In order to make sure I am going to eat right and make the best choice about what is going to fuel me I have to dedicate time to preparing the meals, snacks, and shopping. I learned that in order to stay motivate I need to surround myself with positive people who are going to be there to cheer me on and push me when I need it. I am happy with the success I had this time around and it is a great start, but it’s just the beginning. As I mentioned before I had gotten to a very dark place and I am happy to be out of there and moving up but there’s still much work to be done.
When I was training and would be completing long distance runs every weekend there was a quote that always stuck with me and as I prepare to run my first half marathon in 5 years I am hearing it again “Your body can do anything…it’s you mind you have to convince.”

You have about 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts daily.  So much can occur in the daily inner conversations that take place. How tired you feel, “am I going to work out today?”, list of excuses, what to fix for dinner, the traffic, “what did my boss just say?”, oh… and cookies?!  I decided about 2 weeks into my first attempt of the WLG 12 week challenge, to incorporate a mantra into my daily thoughts. “You will never change your life until you change something you do daily.  The secret of your success is found in your daily routine” John C. Maxwell.
This challenge made me reexamine how and what I do daily.  I can’t say it was one easy thing that was changed or incorporated into my day.  It truly was the combination of prepping my meals on Sunday for the week, logging my water, exercise, and meals, committing to drinking the water, committing to daily movement and most of all committing to myself.  I had made myself accountable to that inner voice and ongoing conversation of why I wasn’t hitting my goals.  Prepping the food took away the last minute struggles I had with taking the easy way out to pizza or skipping a meal.  I placed a priority to schedule exercise in, it had to get done. Knowing the amount of water I had to drink daily made it easier to divide up by the time in my day. Surprisingly enough, the conversations in your head then change from what you are not doing to what you are getting done.
While I still have a ways to go, I am learning what works for me.  I was going to WLG several times a week for 9 months prior to the challenge but hadn’t started to really lose any weight.  I was eating healthy clean foods prior to the challenge.  I just wasn’t doing things in a routine or amount that would effectively get me to where I want to be.  I am looking forward to the next challenge and continuing this journey.

First I have say that I was in shock and awe when I heard my name called as the transformation winner of my age group.  If someone would have asked me a year ago whether I could participate in a challenge at WLG, I’d have said you have got to be out of your mind J.  Fast forward a year and here I am.  I am a very self-conscious person, so when Tracie Nelson told me about WLG and said I should join I told her there was no way I could do the exercises she described, let alone keep up with everyone in the classes.  Even though Tracie kept pushing, I kept dragging my feet out of fear I would embarrass myself and not be able to keep up.   So I continued to just do the bare minimum on my own, but never really pushing myself to do more.  When my Step-daughter Melanie heard about WLG, she had the courage to take the leap and join.  So I have to give credit to Tracie Nelson for pushing me to join and Melanie for having the courage to join, which was what I needed to finally do it.

I went with Melanie to my first class feeling very apprehensive and nervous. First of all we were told to run a lap in the parking lot, and I thought run, I hate running. Although I struggled through it gasping for breath all the way, I did it.Then came Burpees and I thought WTH are Burpees . Then came planks, don't get me started, I didn't even have the core strength to stay up for a few seconds, and finally there were pull-ups and I thought I got this, so I got up on the bar and proceeded to hang there w/my feet dangling.  Fast forward to today; Burpees, although I still hate them I can do my fair share; planks, got that one in the bag; and pull-ups, with the help of the bands and some encouragement from coach Tracie, I can say I've improved.  The running though is still my nemesis, which will be something for me to work on moving forward.  Also, I would be remiss if I didn't add that as terrifying as that first class was for me, Kendra welcomed me with open arms, made me feel comfortable right away and encouraged me the whole way.

As for the women in the classes that I have met, all I can say is Wow, what a great group of ladies who are always so supportive and encouraging.  As for the classes, yes they are challenging, yes they are hard, but in the end they leave me feeling invigorated and strong.  I have come a long way since that first class, but I know that I've still got a ways to go.  I can't thank Kendra, Tracie and the entire WLG team enough for being such great coaches and motivators.

My first challenge at WLG was in the fall of 2015.  I wanted to do something different and I figured what the heck it sounds interesting!  The thought of having a meal plan as a guideline was right up my alley especially since I like cooking and trying new things.  This first challenge introduced me to meal prepping on Fridays/the weekend and I’ve been doing it ever since.  I was pretty successful during this challenge and subsequently signed up for the Spring of 2016 challenge.  Somehow life flew by and I missed the next two challenges.

Fast forward to the Fall of 2017.  I’m still busy with working full time as a pharmacist and teaching fitness classes.  I teach spin, boot camp and an occasional barre class and I play pickle ball once or twice a week.  I’m still meal prepping and eating healthy and clean but since the spring, Mother Nature threw me a curveball and this thing called menopause happened.  I literally went to bed one night and woke up the next morning and I had gained 7 or 8 pounds.  I was not happy.  I was not going to let it win.  Game on!

I’m a pretty competitive person and I decided to join this challenge as a game…competing against myself and seeing what I could do to change the course of Mother Nature.  I did this for myself but in a way, I also did it to show those who are struggling with this change what eating the right healthy foods, drinking plenty of water and exercising regularly can do for us as we age.  Not only does it help you lose weight and feel better, but it also decreases your risk for diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and many other health conditions.  When it comes to family health history, I always think of what my sister told me many years ago, “You can’t change your parents, but you can change your gene pool!”  So far, so good.  Thank you WLG!  Looking forward to the next challenge!

DEBBIE KRUEGER - PRIZE 8 WLG TRAINING SESSIONS

2.5% bodyfat LOST
4 inches LOST

I am coming up on my five year anniversary at WLG. I took my first free class in December and officially signed on in January! What can I say that I haven’t said? I am beyond grateful for the changes that WLG has brought to my life. Not only have I lost over 60 lbs. in the five years I’ve been coming to class, I can also do 100 burpees in a single day (although I’m not happy about having to do them and actually want to cry when I see them written on the board), run a 10K (I may be slow but I finish!), complete the Devil’s Mile (please, never again!) and finish the Murph workout (with some old lady modifications!) with a few breaths to spare!

I’m thankful for the friendships that I’ve made and I owe my unending gratitude to the women who push me and hold me accountable during each and every class. Where would I be if I didn’t watch them grab a heavier weight and say to myself maybe I should try it? What would I do if I couldn’t text them and ask what the heck is basil chiffonade? Would I get up at 4:30 AM on a dark, cold, rainy day if I didn’t know I had people expecting me? Would I actually be on time for work if someone didn’t say we need those bonus points or we’ve burned 467 calories, let’s get to 500 (Thank goodness my boss is an early morning gym goer!)? When you’ve been coming to class 3,4, or 5 days a week for as long as I have you must (for your own sanity!) find ways to stay motivated.

These 12 Week Challenges motivate me. These coaches motivate me. These women motivate me. Looking from my end of the gym (come on ladies...you know which end is “mine!”)down to the other end and seeing the same women there day after day, working hard, provides me with a sense of security (I know it sounds weird but it’s true!). It reminds me that we’re all just trying to be our best selves, inside and out. So even if we just exchange a quick hello or a wave (because we’re too out of breath to actually speak!) please know that you being there motivates me. Your presence provides me with a sense of belonging. Your hard work is inspiring. Your willingness to give up precious hours of sleep is admired! Thank you for helping me stay the course. They say “it takes a village.” WLG is without a doubt my “village. “

PARTNER TRANSFORMATION WINNERS

RACHAEL SPIGONE & MEAGHANN LEWIS
Prize: ONE HOUR COUPLES MASSAGE with Massages by Jess $300 value

“I couldn’t imagine doing this “couples” transformation with anyone but Rachael. Talk about a motivator. I wouldn’t get outta bed at 430 in the morning, in the freezing cold, to get my butt kicked for just anyone. I somewhat introduced Rachael to WLG. We would go to the gym together and I would always show her things that I remembered from WLG. She decided she wanted to try it and made me come back with her, and honestly, it was the best decision I’ve made in a while. Working out is cool and all, but having someone who motivates you when you want to give up, having someone tell you you’re doing a great job, having someone make you laugh during your workouts makes it all worth while.

This was my third challenge, and Rachael’s first and we showed up and killed it. Went to every class together (minus maybe 5 total?), yelled at each other to keep pushing, and kept each other on track with our eating. Whether it be a text, or a snap Chat of our food, we were always there for support. Cheat days happened, but we knew that we were going to pay for it in class the next day. WLG has not only made Rachael and I stronger, and fit, but it also made us grow so close. I couldn’t imagine getting a couples massage with anyone else  but seriously, I wouldn’t be where I am today. (Fitness wise) without WLG and my bomb partner Rach Spiggayy!”
- Meaghann

“So this is a bit awkward to try and write a couples statement when there are 2 of us but what can I say..I really couldn’t have done it without my partner. I am relatively new to WLG and this was my very first challenge. I had no idea what to expect but I’m so glad I had my other half there to help me along the way. Meaghann is the best workout partner a girl could ask for. She is always pushing me and motivating me whether it’s to run faster, lift heavier, or get my ass to the gym! She makes working out fun and it’s never the same when she isn’t there. We held each other accountable the entire time and always made sure we were both staying on track. We texted each other almost every day asking what we were eating and since we work together we were able to sneak up on each other at the cubicles to make sure we weren’t “cheating” lol. It definitely hasn’t been easy but it seriously was worth it.

This challenge has taught me so much and it doesn’t end here. Really this is just the beginning of my journey and there is so much more to come. I love every workout because they are all so unique and different. It never gets boring and definitely never easy. So I recommend everyone finds their “other half” and become a power couple. Meaghann and I share a swole-mance and we can’t be stopped!!” - Rachael
